Naomi Halter is an 18 year resident of Merrimack and current member of the School Board. Her two children attend Merrimack public schools. Naomi previously worked in event management and volunteer coordination, and currently works as a school bus driver and trainer. In addition to serving on the School Board, Naomi volunteers with the Merrimack Girl Scouts as a “Cookie Mom” and is a Trustee for the Eastern States Exposition (Big E).
In her first term on the School Board, Naomi supported updating science and reading curriculum, leading to higher test scores and more kids who love reading. She also supported initiatives to increase the high school graduation rate, expand high school learning opportunities, and attract and retain great teachers.
Naomi's priorities as a School Board member will continue to be improving academic outcomes, increasing the high school graduation rate, and attracting and retaining quality teachers and staff. She will continue to use data to inform her decision-making, thoughtfully evaluate school operations and budgets, and consider input from all stakeholders. Merrimack has the potential to be a top school district in NH and with a little more hard work we can get there!
